Bundesweiter Koordinierungskreis gegen Menschenhandel e.V. supports victims and survivors of human trafficking and exploitation in Germany. KOK works together with specialized counselling centres across the country that provide professional support, information, counselling, and referrals.
Through KOK, people affected by human trafficking can find recognized specialized counselling centres (“Fachberatungsstellen”) in different regions of Germany. These centres offer confidential and low-threshold support, including crisis counselling, legal information, psychosocial support, and referrals to shelters or additional services.
Support is confidential and can usually be accessed anonymously. Many counselling centres offer services in different languages and support for people affected by sexual exploitation, labour exploitation, forced criminality, or other forms of trafficking.
If you have experienced or suspect human trafficking or exploitation, you can contact a specialised counselling centre for confidential support. The KOK (German NGO Network against Trafficking in Human Beings) maintains a nationwide directory of specialised counselling centres across Germany. These organisations provide free and confidential counselling, crisis support, legal information, psychosocial assistance, help accessing accommodation and social services, and referrals to appropriate local support. Many centres offer multilingual services and support victims of sexual exploitation, labour exploitation, forced criminality and other forms of human trafficking. Direct counseling and support, as well as information on forced marriage and human trafficking, are provided by the national helpline "Violence against Women" and through online counselling, victims can receive advice and support anonymously and free of charge, 24/7, in 18 languages.
