STARK-Website for separations and everyday help

The website of the ‘STARK Streit und Trennung meistern - Alltagshilfe, Rat & Konfliktlösung’ project helps families affected by conflict and separation.

The STARK website offers preventative support to couples in crisis and informative help to parents and their children during separation and divorce.

The services are aimed at families before, during and after a separation or divorce. The website also includes a separate section for affected children and young people.

With low-threshold, interactive and varied information on all topics relating to relationship crises and separation, the website offers a wide range of support options. In addition, the site provides communication tips in the relationship crisis, attempts to provide answers to maintenance issues and offers information and help on emotion regulation for children. It also contains answers to questions about the legal and economic consequences of separation or divorce.

Financial emergencies and debt counselling

Violence in a relationship can also mean that you are not allowed to freely dispose of your own money and that you have accumulated a lot of debt in your name for various reasons.

Debt counselling centres
can help you to find a way out of debt. The focus here is on bringing your income and expenditure back into balance and reaching an agreement with your creditors as quickly as possible without going to court.

If you are over-indebted, you can contact a recognised debtor and insolvency advice centre. You can find recognised debtor and insolvency advice centres in your area anonymously and free of charge on the website of the Federal Statistical Office.
